At 1800 hours, units from the 5th Battalion were alerted to an apartment fire on Wilson Bridge Drive in Company 21's First due. This large garden apartment fire would eventually reach a 3rd alarm. During the fire, 34's red phone rang and the Bomberos received instructions to transfer to company 42. After they convinced us that they weren't kidding, we looked up directions to Oxon Hill and hit the road for the 18.3 mile journey south. The Engine and Ambulance ran 8 calls, including a call at the National Harbor, before being sent back to the Park.
